LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
High school is a time of incredible change. It’s four years of rapid, visible maturation. What seems like overnight, your student will grow up. Physically. Intellectually. Socially. And most important, through our guidance and by the power of the Holy Spirit, your student will grow spiritually.
Your choice in a high school is vitally important. It will help shape the person your son or daughter will become. Every experience – in the classroom, on the stage, on the field of competition, in the locker-room, at the dance, during the class trip – contributes to their development and ultimate personhood.
Our mission is to make sure everyone of those experiences is God-pleasing and Christ-centered. That’s a tall order. No school is perfect. But our entire community – administration, staff, teachers, parents and, yes, even the students themselves – embraces and lives that mission.
Milwaukee Lutheran immerses your child in the Truth found only in God’s Word – and in the process surrounds them with the best possible environment to grow – all at a time when they need it most.
Beyond algebra and biology classes, beyond AP courses, beyond prepping for college, beyond just growing up … your student will be constantly taught something at MLHS: where they came from (God), what their goal is (Heaven), and how to get there (faith in Jesus alone). This is what really matters.
We would be privileged to share that Good News with your student every day. As one of the largest, oldest and most prestigious Lutheran high schools in the nation, we’ve shared Jesus and shaped the lives of thousands of students for nearly 100 years. Each of our graduates can point back to their high school years as the time they really opened up the Bible, learned about their Lord Jesus’ complete and perfect love … and in the process, found their most important relationship in life at a time when many kids, sadly, begin to reject it.
What a gift you can give your child through the simple act (or not-so-simple act) of choosing a high school together. We pray we can be a blessing to you and your family. Let us know how we can help!
Yours in Christ,
Matt Pankow
