Milwaukee Rescue Mission
MLHS students volunteer at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission soup kitchen each Monday. In the kitchen they prepare food for the next day and serve supper to the men, women, and children in need. The students and faculty of Milwaukee Lutheran have proudly served in this capacity for over 10 years, with nearly 400 students having served at the Mission. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your faith through words and actions.
Monthly Missions
Milwaukee Lutheran believes that teaching about the concept of stewardship is of utmost importance. Therefore, a mission project is identified for each month of the school year. Representatives of the “Mission of the Month” (e.g., Milwaukee Rescue Mission) come to a chapel service and share information with the student body about their organization. On each Friday of the month, a free will offering is then taken in the cafeteria during lunch periods to support that mission. MLHS will end up sending over $5,000 throughout the course of a school year to the various organizations that have been designated as the “Mission of the Month”.
