School Closure & Digital Learning; Official COVID-19 Statement

Posted by Andrew Braun on Mar 14, 2020 2:56:10 PM

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

In consideration of the unprecedented health situation in Wisconsin and the nation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided that our three high schools, Milwaukee Lutheran, Martin Luther and Lake Country Lutheran, will not conduct face-to-face instruction with students beginning March 23rd (when we are scheduled to return from Spring Break) until further notice.

Beginning Monday, March 23rd, our schools will conduct instruction and education through virtual/digital learning opportunities. No students should report to school during this time. We will continue to monitor health conditions and make determinations about when it is safe and appropriate to return to the school campus to resume normal operations.

Additionally, all school sponsored activities (athletic, extra-curricular and fine arts practices and events) are postponed until further notice. Our campuses will essentially be closed to students during this time period.

Thank you for your understanding, trust, and patience during this challenging time. Our best interests are always in the care and welfare of our school families and community and we pray for God to watch over us and protect us throughout this ordeal.
