At Milwaukee Lutheran Middle School, we provide a Christ-centered, nurturing environment where students in grades 6-8 grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Driven by a passion for shaping compassionate leaders, our program is intentionally designed to prepare students for success in high school and beyond.
Premier Facilities & Electives
Middle school students have access to Milwaukee Lutheran’s premier facilities, including a 40,000-square-foot field house, advanced science labs, and professional art studios. Electives are taught by high school-level specialists, giving students exposure to STEM, athletics, visual arts, music, and more all within a dynamic learning environment.
Accelerated Curriculum
Our rigorous, accelerated curriculum prepares students to excel in advanced-level high school courses. Core subjects challenge students to think boldly, while electives provide opportunities to explore interests and build new skills. Licensed middle school instructors ensure that each student receives individualized support.
Safe & Supportive Environment
Our campus provides a safe, secure, and designated building wing for middle school students to thrive. Guided by a middle school dean and counselor, students are supported in both their academic and personal growth, building a strong foundation for success.

How and when do I apply?

What is the launch timeline?
- 2026-2027: Launching with 6th grade
- 2027-2028: Adding 7th grade
- 2028-2029: Full 6th-8th grade program
What sports are offered for middle schoolers?
Intramurals: Baseball, Volleyball, Cheer, Football (Flag), Softball, Track & Field
Jr. Red Knights (club sports): Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Football (Tackle)
What electives are offered?
High school-level specialists teach most electives! We currently offer a variety of programs, including world languages, technical education classes, art, choir, and band, among others.
Can my student take classes above their grade level?
Yes! This is one of the many benefits of being connected to a high school. We offer advanced and/or accelerated tracks in most subjects for our high-performing students.
What does a day look like?
We structure the day to give students the time and space they need to thrive.
- Dedicated wing with homerooms
- Separate lunch period
- Free breakfast & lunch prepared fresh in-house by our chef
- Recess in the courtyard with a dedicated lunch/recess block midday
- Chapel/assembly a few times a week
Do you offer a virtual middle school?
Yes, we currently offer a virtual middle school starting with 5th grade. We enroll year-round, so you can apply at any time. Virtual students who meet the academic and attendance requirements receive priority seating for in-person learning.
