Please join us for our fall play, THE WIZ! The Wiz is a musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz that reimagines the classic story within contemporary African-American culture. Known for its vibrant soul, gospel, and funk score by Charles Smalls, the musical follows Dorothy and her friends, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion, on their journey to the Emerald City to find the mysterious Wiz to help Dorothy return home. The show features a blend of magic, music, and dance, highlighting themes of friendship, courage, and finding one’s place in the world.
