At Milwaukee Lutheran, our primary purpose is to help students “grow in the grace and knowledge of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Faith is at the heart of everything we do, guiding students to find their identity, meaning, purpose, and strength in Christ. Through chapel, Christ-centered teaching, and intentional relationships, we nurture a community where love rules and faith moves, empowering students to live with purpose and lead with confidence.
Chapel is a uniquely special time at Milwaukee Lutheran. Every Monday and Thursday morning, our students and staff gather for an uplifting, Spirit-led chapel service. This is a devotional setting with both formal and informal worship. A variety of pastors, teachers, and students assist with leading chapels. And without a doubt, chapel time is one of our graduates’ most cherished memories and something they miss after leaving Milwaukee Lutheran.
Milwaukee Lutheran emphasizes the importance of stewardship through its “Mission of the Month” program. Each month, a mission project is highlighted during a chapel service, where representatives share their organization’s work. Weekly free-will offerings collected during lunch support these missions, with MLHS contributing over $5,000 annually to various organizations.
Each Monday, Milwaukee Lutheran students volunteer at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, preparing meals and serving those in need. For over 10 years, nearly 400 students have participated, sharing their faith through meaningful service and action.
